Cookie Policy

This site sets no cookies at all. We checked every page before writing that down, and if it ever stops being true, this page changes first.

Every statement in this policy was checked against analyticstech.net on 14 September 2026. Section 5 records what that check found. We re-run the check whenever the technology behind the site changes.

1. Scope

This policy explains how analyticstech.net uses cookies and comparable technologies such as pixels, local storage and software development kits.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. On a later visit the browser sends it back, which lets the site recognise the device, remember settings, or measure how the site is used. Related technologies such as pixels, tracking scripts and local storage do similar things by different means. Everything below applies to all of them, whether or not they are technically cookies.

Cookies are either:

First-party, set by analyticstech.net, or third-party, set by another provider whose service is embedded in a page.
Session cookies, deleted when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, which stay for a defined period.

3. Our consent model

We group cookies into four categories:

Strictly necessary. Delivers the site, balances load, secures forms against abuse, and remembers your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off and no consent is required.
Preferences. Remembers choices such as language or region. Optional, off by default.
Statistics. Measures how the site is used so we can improve it. Optional, off by default.
Marketing. Measures campaign performance and supports advertising across sites. Optional, off by default.

No cookie in any of these categories is set on this site today, which is what section 5 records. A cookie banner is put in place, and your consent taken, before any cookie outside the strictly necessary category is ever set. Until then there is nothing to accept, refuse or withdraw.

Why we ask for opt-in consent. Swiss telecommunications law permits cookies where visitors are informed and can refuse. European law is stricter: the ePrivacy Directive as implemented nationally, read together with the GDPR, requires prior, informed, specific consent for anything that is not strictly necessary. Since we serve visitors across the European Economic Area, we apply the stricter European standard to everyone.

4. Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies would be used on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). All other categories rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

5. Cookies used on this website

None. This site sets no cookies. All fifteen pages of the site were checked on 14 September 2026, with no consent step taken, and nothing was stored on the device in any of the categories above.

Embedded content
Pages that embed third-party content, for example a video player or a map, may cause that provider to set cookies once the content loads. No embedded third-party content was found on this site. If an embed is added, it is loaded only after consent, or behind a click-to-load placeholder.

6. Managing your choices

On this website. There is no cookie banner and no cookie settings link, because the site sets no cookies. If that changes, both appear here, and your current choice and the date you made it are shown with them.

In your browser. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so affects all websites you visit, and blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of most sites from working. It does not affect this site, because this site sets none.

Browser signals. No consent tool is in use on this site, so there is no browser signal such as Global Privacy Control for it to honour.

7. Consent records

No consent is collected today, because none is required. When a banner is put in place, we record the categories you accepted or refused, the time, the version of the banner text, and an identifier for the consent, and we keep that record as evidence that consent was given, as required by Art. 7(1) GDPR.

8. Changes

We review this policy whenever the technology behind the site changes, and at least once a year. The current version is always published at analyticstech.net/cookie-policy.
